BioWare On MMOs: ‘Conan,’ Their Own And Maybe A Console One
For many console gamers, through, "World of Warcraft" is still a mystery. There are not many MMO experiences on a console. Muzyka believes technical limitations - a lack of guaranteed storage capacity, player connectivity and voice chat - have been the primary obstacles for most companies. But Muzyka thinks console MMOs are not only possible; they're coming.

An Xbox 360 edition of Age of Conan is currently in the works, though no release date has yet been specified by the developer.

Funcom Explains Age of Conan Damage Bug
The bug was first discovered in June, when users noticed that female characters were dealing less damage than their male counterparts. Further investigation determined that the "swing time" of weapons in the game are determined by the swing animations; females swing their weapons roughly 25 percent slower than males, according to a YouGamers reviewer, resulting in 25 percent less damage over time.

Age of Conan Continues to Dominate Retail Charts
When Age of Conan stormed into retail stores as what we believe to be the most pre-ordered original PC game in history, it instantly became the best selling PC game of May. The pace at which Age of Conan sold made it one of the fastest selling PC games of all times, and Funcom and Eidos are very satisfied to see the positive sales trend continue.

Age of Conan nets 700,000 subscribers

Well, okay, maybe not -- but you have to admit it certainly looks sinister enough. Today's Age of Conan One Shot comes to us from Kamotracker on the Stormrage server.

Before and after images of Age of Conan's DirectX 10 support
Let's say you play Age of Conan, your computer runs on Windows Vista, and you have a fairly new video card (GeForce 8-series and better or the ATI equivalent). Honestly, we're not sure there are really that many of you that touch all those bases, but for those who are: congratulations! You can play games in DirectX 10 mode!

New Age of Conan screenshots show upcoming free content
Some of these are clearly identifiable as shots of the new zone, Ymir's Pass, which features the Wheel of Pain straight out of the original Conan movie. Ymir himself, the eponymous frost giant of the Robert E. Howard tale The Frost Giant's Daughter, also looks like he's been caught on camera. We also get to see work-in-progress shots of the Tarantia Commons region.

Age of Conan expansion concept art unveiled
As we mentioned, Funcom's Hyborian MMORPG Age of Conan is set to expand. As of yesterday, the concept art first shown at Leipzig is now available to view, courtesy of GameSpy. The dragon banners, pagoda-like structures and mask style suggest that Khitai, Robert E. Howard's composite version of China, may be the setting.
